Last night stars hit the red carpet for the 2016, Prime Time Emmy Awards. Star Keri Washington stole the show with gorgeous curls and dress made by Brandon Maxwell. Empire star Taraj Henson also made headlines with her wavy quaff and her bright yellow Vera Wang dress as she walked the red carpet. Did you see that cool Eddie Parker clutch and her awesome accessories?
Do you have curls or waves like Washington and Henson? Does your hair look as awesome as theirs did last night? Here are some tips so your hair can be red carpet ready:
KEEP YOUR HAIR HYDRATED
Well hydrated hair is key to ease of management as it just behaves and looks better. And is stronger, more elastic than hair that is dry and prone to snapping off at the slightest thought of a tool. If you are not already, try washing your hair with Olea E Shampoo & Conditioner. This duo is made of olive oil which is amazing for hair. The shampoo gives you a through clean while the conditioner regenerates dry and damaged hair. Hair will be soft, detangled and deeply cleaned. The olive oil extracts in the conditioner are rich in Vitamins which help protect hair from environmental damage. Your scalp and hair will feel soft, revitalized and healthy.
You can also keep your hair hydrated with regular deep conditioning once every 1-2 weeks until moisture levels are where you like (hair is soft to the touch without product) then you can go to once per month. For deep conditioning use, Olea E Hair Mask Our hair mask is natural, easy and very effective, especially for dyed and damaged hair. The nourishing formula gives your hair deep moisture and balance the PH of your hair which keeps the hair cuticle closed, making them shimmery and smooth. Our Olea hair mask increase the quality of your dry and damaged hair, creating the beautiful, soft, silky look you desire. Enjoy the natural relaxation treatment of our Olea hair mask for a long lasting gratifying result including shinier and stronger hair.
KEEP YOUR HAIR STRETCHED
Hair types with tighter curl patterns benefit most when their hair is stretched as the primary base for styling. This allows for moisture to be sealed from root to ends and keeps hair from coiling on itself as much, minimizing breakage due to increased detangling and manipulation. So after conditioning, don’t be afraid to style your hair with braids and what not as you see fit. Once your hair has dried in its stretched state styling is a breeze and detangling even easier come next wash day. If you don’t want to braid your hair every night to keep it stretched, four big plats should do the trick or just stretching your hair and loosely pinning it into big bantu knots and covering your hair with a silk scarf can help to keep it stretched as well.
USE QUALITY PRODUCTS
Ingredients matter. Take natural oils verses silicones for example. Oils and silicones essentially perform the same functions, they smooth and coat hair for protection from heat and elements. However, natural oils, while requiring more frequent application, are actually capable of fortifying hair whereas silicones just sit on top of your hair. That said, make sure you are using moisturizing shampoos and conditioners the more natural, the better. Follow that up as well with stylers based with butters, oils or water with butters and oils to give your hair the maximum benefit. A great styling oil to utilize is Olea E Serum. This product: makes your hair manageable, shiny and gives a healthy sheen. This special formula coats the hair shaft and effectively shields from environmental damages such as harsh sunlight, humidity and pollution. Olea serum is the miracle solution for dry, rough, frizzy hair that gives your hair lustrous appearance for a long lasting style.
