The 2016 MTV Video Music Awards was a night fit for a queen, Queen Bey that is. Beyoncé took home 7 Moonmen awards for her “Formation” video and one for the controversial song, “Lemonade.”
Beyoncé rocked the red carpet with her daughter Blue Ivy in an angel-winged ice queen in a strong shouldered, see-through pale green and metallic fall 2016 couture gown by Maison Francesco Scognamiglio. Blue Ivy stole the show being the little princess she is rocking an Aoki dress called the Grand Royalle, complete with a tulle skirt, tiara and pair of peach-colored kicks on her feet.
The duo sported mommy and me braids. Bey had a cornrow that crossed over the crown and then cascaded into a single plait down her back. Blue Ivy had sweet cornrow pigtails accented with a crown.
Beyoncé’s look is accentuated by her updated blonde color which looked amazing against the pale green/metallic dress. Earlier in the summer chose to go super light blonde with her hair color to kick off her Formation Tour. She decided she wanted to change things up for the VMA’s. So her colorist kept her tresses in the blonde family to maintain that bright, angelic feeling to her shade. Since B wanted to wear her hair up,, her colorist pretreated her tresses with a trio of products and a finishing gloss.
When you color and style your hair as frequently as Beyoncé you need to use good products such as the Olea line. The Olea Shampoo & Conditioner are amazing because they are enhanced with Olive Oil. Other A listers on the best dressed list include Kim Kardashian-West, Ariana Grande, and Nicki Minaj.
Kardashian-West debuted her 70 pound weight loss after giving birth to son, Saint West December 2015. She opted for a super sexy, curve hugging dress with several statement necklaces and wearing her hair down and super natural. Her hair was super easy to achieve, her stylist brushed her damp hair back and used product to give it the wet look. Ariana Grande kept her look simple for the red carpet. Her signature high ponytail with some crimped strands and a chic off the shoulder top. Want to achieve this look without a crimper? Check out this video. Nicki Minaj looked glam in her dark blue skin revealing gown. Minaj wore her hair down and straight.

Fashion misses of the night include: Cassie, Farrah Abraham, G-Easy and Rita Ora. Cassie looked simply crazy! Her bright yellow bob, gray blazer and gold pants was simply an ugly ensemble.
Farrah Abraham must have forgotten its August and not Halloween when she picked out her super hero costume. G-Easy’s silk shirt and pants ensemble looked like the hot mess express while trying to back up Britney Spears in her performance. Rita Ora just plain weird in her gothic ensemble with red fringe on it.
